Two trips to the emergency room, 1 inhaler, countless tissues, booger suckers, saline drops, baby tylenol and many midnight viewings of Thomas the Tank Engine later and here is my Christmas post... It may not include everything... such as evening card games, spilled grasshopper pie and delicious late night cracker and cheese ball stations but it's late and I need to go to bed and if certain ladies at a certain church want a new post this will have to do :D
Here's Rupert in his Christmas Eve outfit all ready to go!
After the Christmas Eve service we rushed to the car and headed down to Victoria with my mom to Grammy and Grampy's house to join the Aunties, Uncles and cousins! Rupert wasn't as thrilled with wrapping paper as I thought he would be, but he sure did love all the treasures he found in his stocking and under the tree :D
Cousin Halle in her mermaid and princess costumes. Rupert was especially taken with this "big girl" and rarely let her out of his sight. They had much fun jumping on our bed together. I think he misses her as whenever he sees a little girl around her age he gets a big smile on his face and watches her walk by!
The Belgian... :D My sister in law's boyfriend joined us for Christmas this year... his first Canadian Christmas! We had much fun getting to know him better and greatly appreciated the chocolates he brought along with him.
We got Rupert a ride on truck for Christmas. My mom and dad got me a ride on toy for Christmas one year and my mom told me they were up late Christmas Eve putting stickers on it and as it turned out that's what Colin and I ended up doing too... although it wasn't so much the stickers that took the time as all the assembling... However the look of delight and the amount of time he has spent riding it since Christmas makes it all worth it!
Sharing with cousin Maya. I love these two little people. I love the way they look related, I love that they are so close in age, I love that they already love each other and I love that they will get to learn and grow together!
Rupert's first taste of Grammy's grasshopper pie! Sneaky Grandma!
Cousins bath... here's one for the wedding slide show... this is before Rupert realized that there were girls in his tub and he didn't particularly like that, even if they were his two favorite girls.
Bath time with Grampy! I love these precious moments and am so glad that Rupert is already forming a relationship with his Grandpa as my relationship with my Grandpa was so dear to me.
Well I hope this satisfies my blogger friends who have been waiting for this post :D Sorry for the delay... our New Year's Resolution: no more trips to the Emergency Room!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI am not sure if you are trying to say I am one of the "certain ladies at a certain church" or not (Ha!Ha!) but I do so appreciate the new pictures of Rupie! (and the rest of your great Christmas shots!!) He is just so darn cute. He will love looking back at all the pictures you have taken of him and ask you all kinds of questions about what he was doing, etc. Glad to see he is feeling better!! See you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI was so glad to find this here! Loved the recap and the little burst of Christmas it brought with it...perfect for a mid-jaunuary day :) Glad Rupes is on the mend...will defs need to get the full report one day.
ReplyDeletePoor Rupert, I'm glad he's better! I love the bath time pictures! I can't wait till Penny can sit in the bath-she can't sit yet and in the tub she just floats right to the top. Haha-you would think she would sink right to the bottom!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great Christmas and I am thankful Someone was watching over the three of you as you went through another journey. At least, Naomi, if it was you she did call you a lady. Great pictures and recap of Christmas...glad things have settled down for you..
