Church Camp

This past weekend we loaded up our car with two large suitcases, a backpack, a diaper bag, a pack 'n play, bedding for three, two chairs, snacks etc and many extras and headed to Nanoose Bay Pentecostal Camp for our Church Family Camp!

Rupert was in Heaven!!!!!!!!!! Huge property to just roam around freely and thankfully the weather cooperated and we were able to spend much of our time outside... (including our mornings... Rupert thought it was a good idea to wake up at 4 thirty am and take a stroll down to the beach :D )

{One of Rupert's big buddies helping him out!}

We got to stay in a cute little cabin with one bedroom, a kitchenette, living room and bathroom. It was just right for our little family of three... one thing that wasn't just right was the water... yucky sulphur, not a fan! However the view from our back porch made up for it!

Rupert spent a lot of time on the trampoline with the "big boys". I thought he would be too chicken but he was all about it! Every time we walked past the trampoline and even when spotted from across the playground he would point and say please.

{Rupert attacking one his big friends}

{Rupert's protector Joey kept him safe while on the trampoline. Such a sweetie!}

{Rupert's little friend Cason! How cute is he????}

Cason's mommy, Arden, and I spent the afternoon sitting outside drinking coffee and chatting while the two boys slept in our cabin... not a bad way to spend an afternoon!
{Our friends Bobby and Arden with their sweet Cason. We are so excited to be getting to know them better! Friends for us and Rupert!}

{Gotcha!!!!}

{So much cuteness!}

{I adore this picture of Rupert! I can't handle it, I love this little boy!}

{Rupert has an absolute fascination with balloons and can spot one a mile away and begins making the "please" sign and if that doesn't work the whining starts! For anyone that knows me well I am not a fan of children playing with balloons... yet another thing I have let go since becoming a momma! haha!}

{I kind of love this picture. It captures what a wonderful weekend it was... people hanging out and enjoying each other's company! I particularly love the amount of sweats I saw being worn and the lack of make up... that's what camp is about after all!}

{Classic daddy! We didn't get to see too much of Colin this weekend as he was hanging out with youth and running programs, but in the evenings when Colin got in, him and I played UNO and just chatted which was so nice! It's so easy to just sit and watch tv in the evenings together when we're at home rather than actually play a game and talk... it was nice to catch up!}

{I love this chair. I considered having it find it's way into our car... but I didn't think it would be appropriate to steal from a Bible Camp... especially being a Pastor's wife...}

{All tuckered out and ready to go home!}

We had a wonderful weekend away! It was so nice and relaxing and just a wonderful atmosphere to get to know people at our Church that we may have not connected with before! I know that Rupert is going to look forward to this event every year... especially when he can ride a bike as that was the mode of transportation for many children! I love Camp!

    love the one of Rupe on the swing and the precious little tired boy at the end and of him standing and the wind blowing his hair, wearing a little brown jacket.
    the 'view' pictures from your cabin porch are beautiful.
    tell Colin that the thing he is sitting on is at Windsor Park now
