100th post... playing catch up!

Yikes a little too long I have waited to post! sheesh! Oh well here I am back again, brand new year, brand new adventures... so much to be discovered.
This year brings some changes, some known and some unknown I'm sure. I am still selling Norwex Cleaning products and have very much been enjoying meeting new people and spreading the word of how to clean your home without using chemicals. I am also taking a couple of little kiddies during the week. I'm excited as they are sweet little boys but I am nervous to see how Rupert will adjust to having other kids in his space and sharing his mommy. I am also nervous for the difference it will make in my "getting things done" and "resting" time. I'm generally very protective of that time. I think I will need to adjust and move it to a different time of the day!

Rupert is growing and changing like crazy! His little personality is such a blessing to me. He has taught me over and over again to lighten up and relax. So many times when I will be irritated with him for something or another he will give me one of his little looks, eyebrows always raised and we will both burst out laughing. I love that he has a sense of humour. He also loves BIG. I am so thankful for that but I also find it a challenge. Not everyone enjoys his BIG love. haha... I am trying to figure out how to teach him to respect other people's space, likes and dislikes without squelching the love that he so readily and freely wants to give.

We have been spending lots of time at the beach lately... yup I love BC winters! Rupert is an avid dirt digger and rock thrower!

He loves his shark toque and so do I. He rarely takes it off when we go out. Today I took him to church with his toque on and when I took it off he asked for it back and put it on himself and went on his way.

random photo of my hot husband and the greatest daddy EVER!

This is Rupe's cheese face. If you get the camera out or if you say cheese this is the face and it is gone as quickly as it comes... pretty hilarious!

Talking is still coming slowly... our little boy is a man of few words... however he is EXTREMELY expressive! And his newest obsession is owls. I have no idea how it started... maybe Winnie the Pooh? But every time he sees one or wants to see one he says "hoo hoo hoo". This brings me to his new favourite pass time... colouring! He climbs up into a chair at our kitchen table and says "pah" (please) while pointing to our colouring supplies. He is too precious!

How are owls and colouring related you may ask? Well every single picture we colour has to have an owl on it. I have drawn many in the past week! And he has drawn one. He drew a round'ish object, pointed to it and said "hoo hoo hoo". Also we have to trace both our hands on it before we finish. He tries so hard to trace our hands and then when we lift them up he claps for himself. presh.

I love both these sets of photos... couldn't pick favourites!

I'm very excited to see what this year has in store for our little family, hopefully I will be a little more faithful in my blogging... Happy 10oth post!

traditions... a photo blog...

Allright lovelies... today is more of a photo blog. Because a) it is late and b) I'm sick and need to go to bed... but wanted to get these photos up as they have been keeping warm waiting for their return to me... my computer died last week and I was afraid all my photos with it... but hooray they were not lost! And computer is now back, how did I ever do without it!
So here are photos of what we've been up to lately. Lots of Christmas preparation and traditions! Baking, family, ornaments and treats! So enjoy and feel free to add your own commentary as you look through the photos... but make sure the commentary is in my voice and don't say anything that I wouldn't say. wink.

Next post is my 100th post!!!!!!!

Snow day...

This past weekend was our first snow since Rupert was just a little guy! This year he is MUCH more into it. He was a little cautious at first, as with most things, but after a few minutes he got right into it! Grammie and Grampy came up this weekend as well which was much fun indeed!

{family resemblance}

Reading with Grampy and Sid.

The men discussing how the puzzle was made. Seriously. That's what they were doing.

Rupert in daddy's glasses... and workin'em.

Our first snow walk. This is one of the brief moments Rupert would let Colin carry him... most of the time he wanted to be running around in the snow!

Our destination... the new Co-op and Serious Coffee near our house. Woot!

There's something magical about snow at night. It's our plan to always take our kiddies out for walks on the first snow of every year... even if it means waking them up!

oh my little snow shark!

The next day was Colin's day off so we took the morning as a "snow morning". We got all bundled and headed out for some fun!

Rupe was in love.

Rupe and daddy watching a truck trying to make it up our hill... it is a common occurrence during the winter on our hill.

After our lovely snow time we came inside for hot chocolate for Rupes and rumnog coffee for the adults, along with some delicious chocolate chip cookies. And yes that is my amazing new Santa mug... jealous?

Rupes knows how it's done.

yup... again... more family resemblance! I love my precious boys.

playtime...

Our boy loves to play! I love this stage so much! He is just figuring out that all his toys can interact together and it is so fun watching him create and play. Of course his favorite thing to play is trains. He can spend an entire evening just lining up his trains and driving them around the tracks.

{Smiley boy ready to play}

We've recently got some of Colin's old playmobile out for Rupe to play with with his trains... and he loves it!

Cheesey boy. This is the face he makes when we tell him to smile :D

Conductor Rupe gets to drive the train today. His passengers include Hobbes, Ottis Lee, Buzz Lightyear and Snowy!

toot! toot!

Rupe also loves playing with his buddies. This is a little buddy that we met at gym pals named Jaxton. Jaxton likes to head straight to our magazine rack and promptly empty it :D

Sneak hug!

Little helpers. The boys sat in the kitchen and played as I made dinner :D

We tried to make a Thomas convert out of Jaxton while he was over... but decided our church directory was a little more amusing to look at.

More hugs!

The aftermath of two 1 year olds! But they sure did have fun!
