beaches and o's...

Keeping on keeping on... a whiiiiile ago my momma came down for a visit and we decided to take her to our favourite place for rock throwing... Pipers Lagoon. I love BC! Going to the beach in the winter????? Yes please!

Rupe's a bit of a wimp about dirt... thanks daddy. :D But Grandma taught him a new trick... he can wipe them on her pants.

Grandma helped those short little arms reach the water for a prime rock dropping position.

It was a challenge to get these two to look at me at the same time! But I managed to snap a couple cute ones :D

After our noses and finger tips were as red as could be we headed home to teach Grandma our new way to eat cheerios! Very creative our little man is.

Almost caught up!

muuuuuseum...

well a rare moment has come... a quiet peaceful moment... child sleeping and no extra little people scurrying around our home. No parties, no meetings, just peace. So time to play catch up. We have been very busy with all the aforementioned activities but we have been good. Finding moments throughout the day and week to enjoy each other, our little family of three.

(here's Rupert trying to show one of the little boys I look after how to smile for the camera, such a cheeseball.)

I love the age Rupert is at right now. He is constantly in discovery mode. His latest discovery and love is playdoh. I must grunt a lot when I flatten the playdoh as that is how he asks for it. He pushes down on the table and grunts. Little munchkin! His favourite thing to do with playdoh is make animal tracks... such a boy!

Speaking of animal tracks... (yup I am the queen of segues)... we went to the Museum while in Victoria visiting family... Rupe's favourites were all the animals!

(Grampy says this is called "scat")

I love our museum!!!!!! amazing kids section right now, so much for little people to do!

Rupert the turtle shark.

Rupert was a little nervous about the woolly mammoth, good thing he had aunty Em's arm to cling to and stamp on his hand!

I think he would have been happy to ride the escalator all day.

First of a few catch up posts!

100th post... playing catch up!

Yikes a little too long I have waited to post! sheesh! Oh well here I am back again, brand new year, brand new adventures... so much to be discovered.
This year brings some changes, some known and some unknown I'm sure. I am still selling Norwex Cleaning products and have very much been enjoying meeting new people and spreading the word of how to clean your home without using chemicals. I am also taking a couple of little kiddies during the week. I'm excited as they are sweet little boys but I am nervous to see how Rupert will adjust to having other kids in his space and sharing his mommy. I am also nervous for the difference it will make in my "getting things done" and "resting" time. I'm generally very protective of that time. I think I will need to adjust and move it to a different time of the day!

Rupert is growing and changing like crazy! His little personality is such a blessing to me. He has taught me over and over again to lighten up and relax. So many times when I will be irritated with him for something or another he will give me one of his little looks, eyebrows always raised and we will both burst out laughing. I love that he has a sense of humour. He also loves BIG. I am so thankful for that but I also find it a challenge. Not everyone enjoys his BIG love. haha... I am trying to figure out how to teach him to respect other people's space, likes and dislikes without squelching the love that he so readily and freely wants to give.

We have been spending lots of time at the beach lately... yup I love BC winters! Rupert is an avid dirt digger and rock thrower!

He loves his shark toque and so do I. He rarely takes it off when we go out. Today I took him to church with his toque on and when I took it off he asked for it back and put it on himself and went on his way.

random photo of my hot husband and the greatest daddy EVER!

This is Rupe's cheese face. If you get the camera out or if you say cheese this is the face and it is gone as quickly as it comes... pretty hilarious!

Talking is still coming slowly... our little boy is a man of few words... however he is EXTREMELY expressive! And his newest obsession is owls. I have no idea how it started... maybe Winnie the Pooh? But every time he sees one or wants to see one he says "hoo hoo hoo". This brings me to his new favourite pass time... colouring! He climbs up into a chair at our kitchen table and says "pah" (please) while pointing to our colouring supplies. He is too precious!

How are owls and colouring related you may ask? Well every single picture we colour has to have an owl on it. I have drawn many in the past week! And he has drawn one. He drew a round'ish object, pointed to it and said "hoo hoo hoo". Also we have to trace both our hands on it before we finish. He tries so hard to trace our hands and then when we lift them up he claps for himself. presh.

I love both these sets of photos... couldn't pick favourites!

I'm very excited to see what this year has in store for our little family, hopefully I will be a little more faithful in my blogging... Happy 10oth post!

traditions... a photo blog...

Allright lovelies... today is more of a photo blog. Because a) it is late and b) I'm sick and need to go to bed... but wanted to get these photos up as they have been keeping warm waiting for their return to me... my computer died last week and I was afraid all my photos with it... but hooray they were not lost! And computer is now back, how did I ever do without it!
So here are photos of what we've been up to lately. Lots of Christmas preparation and traditions! Baking, family, ornaments and treats! So enjoy and feel free to add your own commentary as you look through the photos... but make sure the commentary is in my voice and don't say anything that I wouldn't say. wink.

Next post is my 100th post!!!!!!!
