young and in love...

{a blog in an effort to prove to Emily and Thomas that they are not the only ones who are young and in love :D Also playing a bit of catch up with my blogging! }

Date night! We needed one. Haven't had one in forever and we were feeling it. So what better time to go than when we can leave our precious boy with his grandma who charges nothing but hugs and kisses! Colin and I have been trying to think of "cheap" date nights and this one was perfection... the plan... hit up Starbucks for some bevies and treats, serenaded by Chris Martin and the boys... and then hike up the Cell Tower hill, mountain... not really sure what it was... probably more of a large hill.

{bevies, treats and Coldplay}

{Our drink of choice? the Americano of course... although I guess we're not that young... as we ordered them decaf haha... oh well we're still in love!}

{view from the top!}

{View of the other side... those are ferries wayyyyy down there!}

{young and in love}

{golden, my favorite time of night.}

{yup, we're cute like that.}

{and also like that.}

{a little cheese... but I like it anyway. 6 wonderful years being married to my best friend... I would still hold your hand during a water search Jimmy!}

{yes... it's a beautiful sunset, but we were a little disappointed as all the sunsets since then have been pink and purple and have lit up the sky! shoot!}

{It was a wonderful evening spent with the man I love... and it was something we had never done together before which was also fun! We like to keep it fresh. Young and in love.}

too stinkin' hot...

Yikes it's been a while since I've blogged! I don't have any single good reason except that's been too freaking hot. I hate the heat... and the heat hates me. We don't get along well. I get cranky and usually get a massive headache. But as I sit here writing to you it has clouded over and there is a beautiful breeze flowing through my window, Praise the LORD! However I do still have a massive headache so I will be brief and will leave you with photos and captions of what we've been up to despite the disgusting heat.

{Rupert's adorable buddy Cason. Cason's mommy, Arden, and I are blessed to have such precious little boys who let us walk down town and look in stores while they just sit in their strollers, chat and look around.}

{deep in discussion.}

{seriously, how cute is he? besides Rupert, he is the cutest little boy ever!}

{our favorite spot, sitting at the drain dropping rocks}

{new activity, climbing into and on top of things}

{Grandma came for a visit. As always we had to go to Starbucks for some treats before we started our day.}

{The hot weather does afford many benefits as well... namely beach days!}

{we weren't planning on a beach day which is why Rupert is dressed in jeans and a long sleeve shirt. It was cloudy in the morning I promise! But Rupert fell asleep in the car, so we decided to keep driving to Rathtrevor to let him sleep.}

{Grandma bought Rupe a pail and shovel to take down to the beach which was a huge hit! Although he did prefer to play in the parking lot with the gravel rather than the sand.}

{Rupe is such a little observer! He saw me picking up big rocks and the crabs that poured forth from under them and he began doing the same thing. Turning over all the rocks and then chasing and catching all the scurrying little crabs.}

{Rupe and Grandma at the beach where I often spent many days with my grandparents in the summer.}

{After a very busy week Rupe likes to crawl into his basket and kick back with a good book.}

{Grammie also came for a visit, but there are no photos as we were very busy organizing and cleaning the house! Rupe loves his Grandma and Grammie and so do we!}

yah that's right...

!!!!Warning!!!! there is a redonkulous amount of photos in this post... so grab a coffee or whatever beverage you care to enjoy while looking at photos and settle in :D These were our adventures on Canada day. We weren't feeling like braving the masses down town so we stayed close to home and visited places that were a little less crowded, unfortunately not super patriotic but we had a lovely day anyhow!

{yah that's right we're driving this redonkulously big truck while some friends are away on vacation!}

{yah that's right I prefer to see myself in a mirror with lights on either side, makes me feel glamorous, every car should have them.}

{yah that's right we were those people who took two parking spots for our monstrous truck.}

{yah that's right my kid shows more patriotism to Thomas than Canada these days...}

{yah that's right Rupert got a mini ice cream cone for free at Mcdonalds}

{yah that's right my husband is super Canadian.}

{yah that's right my husband is really really really ridiculously good looking.}

{yah that's right I'm popping some kelp bubbles... it's hard work don't you know.}

{yah that's right my son does look incredibly adorable in a field of daisies.}

{... and in his daddy's hat :D }

{yah that's right after our not so patriotic Canada day we relaxed and watched some Curious George... maybe next year we will be a bit more patriotic!}

{yah that's right we actually do love living in Canada!!!!!!!!}

my new shoes...

Yes I'm for real. I am going to devote an entire blog post to my new shoes. I loooove them! I got them at Value Village for 4.99! They're Rocket Dogs I may never wear another shoe again... well we know that's not true, but they are my new fave! They are so sweet and girly which I love pairing with jeans!

I thought my shoes would look even prettier with the ocean as their backdrop.

Yup they're versatile too. Wore them to the beach and they were tres comfortable.

Even more versatility, Rupert decided to use them as a seat.

This is the look that I gave Colin after hearing his reaction to my "entire blog about my new shoes!!!!"

But you guys liked it right???? :D
